An electrical insulating member is provided for covering electrical connections on a printed circuit board. The invention is particularly suited to circuit boards having a high-voltage power supply attached thereto, wherein the electrical contacts projecting from the bottom of the board pose a serious electrical hazard. A preferred embodiment is characterized by an insulating member having a substantially dome-shaped safety shield and a flat mounting portion attached about the periphery of the shield. An adhesive is applied to the mounting portion on the side opposite to the safety shield. To apply the member to the board, the shield is placed over the electrical connection and the mounting portion is brought into the contact with the portion of the circuit board surrounding the contact. The adhesive affixes the member to the circuit board. The shield provides a insulating barrier between the electrical connection and the outside of the member.
