An insulation block is utilized with a corresponding baffle vent having a transverse width that will span several roof rafters, as is provided for use with manufactured housing. The insulation block includes uniformly spaced vertical ribs that extend from one edge of the insulation block to the opposing edge thereof to stiffen the insulation block which is formed of vacuum molded polyvinyl chloride film. After the baffle panel is placed on top of the roof rafters, which is before the roof sheeting is applied, the insulation block is attached to the wall top plate with the top edge of the insulation block placed into engagement with the baffle vent. The top edge of the insulation block is configured to mate with the undulating configuration of the corresponding baffle vent, fitting between transversely extending stiffening ribs on the baffle vent, to prevent insulation from entering the soffit area.

Un bloc isolant est utilisé avec une chicane d'aération correspondante dont la largeur s'étend sur plusieurs chevrons de toit, et est prévu pour un usage sur une maison préfabriquée. Le bloc isolant se compose de nervures verticales uniformément espacées qui se prolongent depuis un bord du bloc isolant jusqu'au bord opposé de manière à renforcer le bloc isolant qui est fait d'une pellicule de chlorure de polyvinyle moulée sous vide. Après la pose du panneau chicane sur le dessus des chevrons du toit, c'est-à-dire avant la pose du revêtement de toit, le bloc isolant est fixé à la sablière, le bord supérieur du bloc isolant étant placé en position avec la chicane d'aération. Le bord supérieur du bloc isolant est configuré pour s'adapter aux ondulations de la chicane d'aération correspondantes, c'est-à-dire aux nervures de renfort verticales de la chicane, afin d'empêcher l'isolant d'entrer dans la soffite.
