- 24 - INSULATION CUTTING MACHINE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Conventionally, insulation for the inside of duct work and the like is cut by hand to the desired width and length which is time consuming and labour in- tensive. The present invention includes a frame within which a roll of insulation is mounted for free rotation. A first pair of power driven rollers extend across the frame and pull the length of insulation from the roll. Adjustable cutters for longitudinally slitting of the insulation are mounted above a second driven roller and a third set of power driven rollers is mounted cross the frame behind the slitting cutters. A manually operated transverse cutter wheel is used to cut off the length of insulation between the first set of power driven rollers and the slitting cutter. The source of power includes foot operated switches which, in one instance, drives both pairs of power driven rollers and the slitting cut- ter roller, and in the other instance only drives the slitting cutter roller and the third set of power driven rollers in order to pull the severed length of insula- tion, completely through the machine.
