The present invention relates to an insulator for electric fencing, and in particular to an injection moulded plastic insulator for such fencing that may be mounted directly onto a support surface, especially a fence post, and which is capable of use with electrically conductive rope, polymer tape or wire, and high tensile wire. The insulator will accommodate electric fencing material up to a 3/8 inch in diameter with ease of application and dismantling in the field.
