A fuel conveying member (22), such as a fuel manifold and/or fuel nozzles for a gas turbine engine (10), the fuel conveying member (22) having heating means (50) integrated therein to permit pyrolysis of carbonaceous deposits. The heating means preferably comprises an electrical resistance heating element (52) that burns off any coke within the fuel conveying member thereby performing in situ cleaning, or decoking, of the engine. An associated method of cleaning a fuel conveying member that includes removal of the pyrolyzed deposits is also disclosed.
