A one piece integrally formed liquid tight connection or "whip" assembly for electrically interconnecting electrical appliances, such as air conditioning units, hot tubs, swimming pools and outdoor lighting fixtures, to one another and/or to a power source junction box or control box. The connection assembly includes a flexible tubular conduit, preferably constructed from a composite of full rigid PVC and flexible plasticized PVC, having first and second end portions and an outer surface with a plurality of surface irregularities. A pair of end fittings are integrally attached to the first and second end portions of the tubular conduit, respectively, using either a solvent welding or temperature welding technique. When using the solvent technique, the plurality of surface irregularities operate to hold additional localized amounts of solvent which further reacts with the plastic in the end fittings and conduit to yield a superior weld. Each of end fitting also includes an external annular seal ring for engaging the electrical devices. A plurality of conductors extend through the tubular conduit and end fittings which provide electrical communication between the electrical devices.
Connexion mono-pièce incorporée, étanche aux liquides, ou fouet permettant d'interrelier des appareils électriques (conditionneurs d'air, cuves thermales, piscines, appareils d'éclairage extérieurs...) ou de les raccorder à une boîte de jonction ou à une boîte de commande d'alimentation électrique. Cet ensemble de connexion est équipé d'un conduit tubulaire souple, constitué de préférence d'un composé de chlorure de polyvinyle (PVC) non plastifié ou de PVC plastifié et présentant une première et une deuxième sections d'extrémité. Sa surface extérieure laisse apparaître un certain nombre d'irrégularités surfaciques. Deux raccords d'extrémité sont reliés respectivement à la première et à la deuxième section d'extrémité du conduit tubulaire, de manière que, grâce à un soudage par solvant ou à une technique de thermosoudage, ils en fassent partie intégrante. Lorsqu'on a recours à la technique par solvant, les irrégularités de surface font en sorte que certaines quantités de solvant supplémentaires subsistent localement et, par la suite, réagissent avec le plastique au niveau des raccords d'extrémité et du conduit pour produire un meilleur soudage. Chacun des raccords d'extrémité comporte également une bague d'étanchéité externe conçue pour s'engager avec les appareils électriques. Une série de conducteurs, placés dans le conduit tubulaire et les raccords d'extrémité, établissent une communication entre les appareils électriques.
