An air conditioning module (14) having all the necessary components for conditioning air, is so sized and arranged that, when placed in an internal compartment of a bus, has its respective openings register with an existing return air duct (13) and a supply air duct (12) on the bus. The compartments and modules are so arranged that they can be paired in back-to-back relationship, with one on each said of a longitudinal center line of the bus. Each of the modules has an intermediate partition dividing the module into an upper evaporator section and a lower condensing section. A mixer flap is placed in an intermediate position with respect to the partition such that its position may be selectively adjusted to thereby vary the amount of fresh air and return air that is passed through the condenser coil and evaporator coil, respectively.

L'invention concerne un module (14) pour conditionner l'air comprenant tous les composants nécessaires pour conditionner l'air, ledit module étant dimensionné et disposé, de sorte que, lorsqu'il est placé dans le compartiment intérieur d'un bus, ses orifices respectifs soient en contact avec un conduit de sortie d'air (13) et avec un conduit d'entrée d'air (12), dans le bus. Les compartiments et les modules sont disposés, de sorte qu'ils peuvent être regroupés par paires recto verso, l'un d'eux étant positionné sur une ligne centrale, longitudinale du bus. Chaque module présente une répartition intermédiaire qui divise le module en une partie d'évaporation supérieure, et une partie de condensation inférieure.
