ABSTRACT A structure is constructed using precast concrete beams (20, 23) and posts (10). Each post has an axial corehole (12), and the beams (20) have coreholes (22) at their ends which are vertically aligned with the post coreholes (12). Steel reinforcing bars (30) are inserted in the aligned coreholes (22, 12), and the composite cavity is filled with concrete to form an integrated structural joint between beam (20) and post (10). Two beams (23) may have their ends supported on a single post. The beams (23) have channels (26) in their ends which form a composite corehole when the beam ends are butted together. Transverse beams (31) are mounted on longitudinal beams in a similar manner. Floor panels (35) span between longitudinal beams (23) and longer floor panels (36) provide a cantilevered floor portion.
