An integrated collet and chuck device (12) includes a body member (14) configured to be non-movably fixed to a drive spindle of a driving tool. An outer sleeve member (16) is disposed about a portion of the body member (14) and is rotatable relative to the body member (14). The sleeve member (16) comprised a front end (18) defining a collet receiving chamber for receiving a conventional collet (32). A nut (22) is configured with the sleeve member (16) so as to be rotatable therewith relative to the body member (14). A screw member (26) is disposed rotatably concentric within the nut (22). The screw (26) and nut (22) are threadedly engaged so that rotation of the nut (22) drives the screw member (26) in the longitudinal direction. The screw member (26) has a collet engaging surface (30) which presses the collet (32) within the frusto-conical inner diameter surface (20) of the sleeve (16) thereby causing the collet (32) to collapse and grip upon the shank of a tool ca? therein.

Un écrou (22) est conçu pour être placé à l'intérieur du manchon (16) de façon à tourner avec ce dernier par rapport au corps (14). Une vis (26) est placée concentrique et rotative à l'intérieur de l'écrou (22). La vis (26) et l'écrou (22) sont emboîtés par filetage si bien que la rotation de l'écrou (22) entraîne la vis (26) dans la direction longitudinale. La vis (26) possède une surface (30) de contact avec la pince de serrage, qui pousse ladite pince de serrage (32) dans la surface de diamètre interne tronconique (20) du manchon (16), entraînant la compression de la pince (32) et le serrage de la queue de fixation d'un outil placé à l'intérieur de ladite pince.
