A surveillance transceiver system is provided for receiving extended squitters from Mode S transponders, translating the squitters into ADS-B state vectors in UAT format, and transmitting the ADS-B state vectors using a Universal Access Transceiver (UAT) datalink. The surveillance transceiver system bridges the gap created by differently-equipped aircraft by using multiple datalinks to provide seamless ADS-B surveillance. The module for processing the extender squitters includes a 1090 MHz receiver and a computer processor in communication with the UAT processor for parsing the squitter and composing the ADS-B state vector in UAT format for broadcast.

L'invention concerne un système d'émetteur-récepteur de surveillance permettant de recevoir des réponses spontanées étendues de transpondeurs en Mode S, traduisant les réponses spontanées en vecteurs d'état ADS-B au format UAT (Emetteur-récepteur à Accès Universel) et transmettant lesdits vecteurs d'état ADS-B au moyen d'un réseau de transmission d'Emetteur-récepteur à Accès Universel (UAT). Le système d'émetteur-récepteur de surveillance établit un pont pour combler le vide créé par un aéronef équipé de manière différente en utilisant un réseau de transmissions multiple afin d'assurer une surveillance ADS-B continue. Le module de traitement des réponses spontanées étendues comprend un récepteur 1090 MHz et un processeur d'ordinateur en communication avec le processeur UAT afin d'analyser la réponse spontanée et de composer le vecteur d'état ADS-B au format UAT en vue d'une diffusion.
