An integrated blood pump (110), oxygenator, and heat exchanger is provided having a rotating hollow fiber bundle (115) assembly. A plurality of vanes arranged along a central shaft (124) of the device increase pressure near the center of the fiber bundle (115) to develop sufficient pressure head to pump the blood through the heat exchanger. In alternative embodiments, the heat exchanger comprises a pleated metal wall, a bundle of non-permeable hollow fibers (115), or a coiled tube (130) disposed between the rotating hollow fiber bundle (115), and an interior wall of the housing (113).
Cette invention concerne un ensemble intégré de pompe à sang (110), d'oxygénateur de d'échangeur thermique comportant une masse fibreuse creuse tournante (115). Une pluralité d'ailettes disposées le long d'un arbre central (124) porte la pression prés de la masse fibreuse (115) à un niveau de charge suffisant pour pomper le sang au travers de l'échangeur thermique. Selon d'autres modes de réalisation, l'échangeur thermique comprend une paroi métallique plissée, une masse creuse de fibres non perméables (115), ou un serpentin tubulaire (130) disposé entre la masse creuse de fibres (115) et une paroi interne du boîtier (113).
