An active-controlled vibrating mount (142) permits static forces from a machine (23) to support while decoupling the trans- mission of dynamic vibrational forces. The mount provides a reduction of force losses from a first generating area (152) to a sec- ond force applying area (130,132) to actively control vibrations of a vibrating element (23). These force losses are minimized due to minimization of the mass and velocity of fluid pumped by pumping the fluid through the short large cross-sectional area pas- sageways (144, 146). The device provides for proper channeling of the forces to the vibrating element (23) in a uniaxial direction (x) and constrains the application of forces in non-working directions.
