An oil feedstock (6) is upgraded wherein the feedstock is hydrocracked, flashed and/or distilled. The bottoms are then vacuum distilled to adjust viscosity and volatility. The refined feed (30) is then dewaxed under high pressure by a medium pore molecular sieve. The dwaxed material (38) is then cascaded to a hydrofinishing step, where it is contacted with an aromatics saturation catalyst having a metal hydrogenation function in order to produce, after appropriate flashing and distillation, lubricant products having high Viscosity Index, low aromatics content, low volatility and excellent stability to light in the presence of oxygen.

L'invention concerne un procédé de valorisation d'une charge (6) par lequel on effectue un hydrocraquage, une vaporisation instantanée et/ou une distillation de la charge. On effectue ensuite une distillation du résidu en vue d'ajuster la viscosité et la volatilité. On procède ensuite au déparaffinage de la charge raffinée (30) sous haute pression au moyen d'un tamis moléculaire à pores moyens. On fait ensuite passer le matériau déparaffiné (38) sur des déflecteurs en cascade vers une étape d'hydrofinissage, dans laquelle on le met en contact avec un catalyseur à saturation d'aromatiques présentant une fonction d'hydrogénation métallique afin de produire, après vaporisation instantanée et distillation appropriées, des produits lubrifiants présentant un indice de viscosité élevé, un contenu faible en aromatiques, une faible volatilité et une excellente photostabilité en présence d'oxygène.
