An integrated motor and clutch assembly (20) is provided, which includes a housing (21) that rotatably supports an input shaft (24) and an output shaft (26). A selectively engageable friction clutch (23) is disposed between the input shaft and the output shaft for transferring torque therebetween. The friction clutch includes an outer hub (35) connected for rotation with the output shaft (26). The integrated motor and clutch assembly (20) also includes a motor (22) having a rotor (134) non-rotatably connected to the outer hub (35) of the friction clutch (23) and disposed coaxial with the input und output shafts. The motor (22) also includes a stator (132) secured to the housing and disposed concentric with the rotor.

L'invention concerne un ensemble embrayage et moteur intégré (20), lequel comprend un boîtier (21) qui supporte de manière rotative un arbre primaire (24) et un arbre secondaire (26). Un embrayage à friction (23) pouvant sélectivement venir en contact est disposé entre l'arbre primaire et l'arbre secondaire afin d'assurer le transfert de couple entre les deux. L'embrayage à friction comprend un moyeu extérieur (35) relié de manière à tourner avec l'arbre secondaire (26). L'ensemble embrayage et moteur intégré (20) comprend également un moteur (22) présentant un rotor (134) relié de manière non rotative au moyeu extérieur (35) de l'embrayage à friction (23) et disposé de manière coaxiale avec les arbres primaire et secondaire.
