An apparatus for packaging articles, which apparatus comprises a first packaging mechanism (14) for forming secondary packages, in a sequential manner, around successive groups of articles, transfer means (20) to convey each of the formed secondary packages, each containing a group of articles, to a second packaging mechanism (42), and to manipulate selected ones of those secondary packages, as they are so conveyed, so as to form successive groups of secondary packages, the second packaging mechanism then forming tertiary packages (50) around those groups of secondary packages.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'emballage d'articles, comportant un premier mécanisme d'emballage (14) pour former des emballages secondaires de façon séquentielle autour de groupes d'articles successifs, des éléments de transfert (20) pour convoyer chaque emballage secondaire formé comprenant chacun un groupe d'articles, vers un deuxième mécanisme d'emballage (42), et manipuler des emballages secondaires sélectionnés lorsqu'ils sont ainsi convoyés afin de former des groupes successifs d'emballages secondaires, le deuxième mécanisme d'emballage formant alors des emballages tertiaires (50) autour de ces groupes d'emballages secondaires.
