The integrated solar wall with thermosyphon system is an energy saving concept with an advantage since all the energy captured by the solar wall is used all year round. When the underground parking requires heat, energy is delivered to the underground parking or make-up air. If no heat is required, then the air flow is directed to preheat the domestic hot water line. Heating the domestic hot water line is achieved by thermosyphon. The s~ant/fin pipe is heated by the air flow and the water in the 2" pipe is heated by thermosyphon. This system has its advantages: there are no moving parts in the process of preheating the domestic hot water and there is no use of propylene glycol because all pipes are indoor and there is no chance for the water to freeze up. The fan is off and both dampers are closed when solar panel temperature is below 50~F.
