Peptide sequences comprising 10 to 50 amino acids are disclosed. The sequences are characterized by containing at least one of an integrin binding motif such as an RGD sequence, a glycosaminoglycan binding motif, and a calcium binding motif, and the remainder of amino acids contiguous with the RGD sequence in matrix extracellular phosphoglycoprotein. The sequences may be formulated for injection or dispersed in toothpaste or a mouthwash or gum patch and administered to enhance bone/tooth growth and/or reduce excessive urinary phosphate loss from the body.
L'invention concerne des séquences de peptides comprenant 10 à 50 acides aminés. Ces séquences contiennent, de façon caractéristique, au moins un motif de fixation à intégrine, tel qu'une séquence RGD, un motif de fixation à glycosaminoglycane ou un motif de fixation au calcium, et le reste des acides aminés contigus à la séquence RGD dans une phosphoglycoprotéine extra-cellulaire matricielle. On peut formuler ces séquences pour une injection ou les disperser dans du dentifrice, un liquide de rinçage buccal ou une pastille de gomme et les administrer afin d'amplifier la croissance des os/des dents et/ou limiter la perte excessive de phosphate urinaire.
