ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An intelligent interfacing apparatus for automatically managing switched or dedicated telecommunication lines and which facilitates data and information transmission between central and/or peripheral processors and other devices located remote from each other and even if different from each other, comprising line interfacing means, connected to said telecommunication line, a modem connected to said line interfacing means for transmission of data to and from the latter and logic means connected to both said line interfacing means and said modem for receiving and storing said data transmissions, for converting the protocols of the received data, for transmitting requested data and for detect- ing failures occurring during data transmitting and receiving.
