An interactive television control/operating system for displaying moving pictures from a live television program or a recorded or pre-recorded item intended to be displayed on a television. There is described means operable to enlarge a prescribed area of a displayed picture. Also described is means for capturing a displayed video image, means for selecting the image to be captured and means for storing and/or printing the selected image. Also described is a system for taking a copy of images displayed on a television where said television is displaying a live program in which said images are stored in digital memory on a video segment. Also described is a method of selecting television programmes for viewing based on selecting TV programs based on what is actually watched. Also described is a means of taking audio notes utilising a remote control device operating in conjunction with the television set top box electronics.
L'invention concerne un système interactif de commande et de contrôle de télévision permettant d'afficher des images animées d'un programme télévisé en direct ou d'un enregistrement ou préenregitrement à visualiser sur l'écran télé. Elle concerne également des dispositifs servant à agrandir une zone déterminée d'une image affichée, à saisir une image vidéo affichée, à sélectionner l'image à saisir, et à mémoriser et/ou imprimer l'image sélectionnée. Elle se rapporte également à un système permettant de faire une copie des images affichées sur un écran télé qui diffuse en direct un programme, dont les images sont enregistrées dans une mémoire numérique sur un segment vidéo. En outre, ladite invention concerne un procédé permettant de sélectionner des programmes télévisés à visualiser en sélectionnant des programmes télévisés en fonction du programme en cours de visualisation. Elle décrit, par ailleurs, un dispositif audio de prise de notes au moyen d'un appareil de télécommande, qui fonctionne en liaison avec le système électronique du décodeur de la télévision.
