Currently when viewing television sports games, such as football, hockey or baseball, viewers may pick, or place bets on, one of the two teams. When it becomes apparent well before the end of the game which team will win, viewers begin to lose interest in the game. This is detrimental to advertisers and others who have invested in the entertainment value of the sports match. The present invention provides an interactive game which maintains the viewer's interest in the events of a game throughout the match by making the winning outcome for the viewer dependent on specific events throughout the match and not simply the final score of the match.
