The modular outer garment for fishing of the present invention has an opposed front and back flexible support members having front and back securement points, the front and back flexible support members releasably securable to the chest and back respectively of the torso of a user, releasable securing means fastened to, and extending between, the front and back support members for snug releasable securement of the support members to the torso, a front compartment fastened to the front support members, the front compartment having a fold-down table foldably storable in the front compartment when in a raised position, and downwardly foldable about a hinge into a lowered generally horizontal position perpendicular to the front compartment.
