The invention relates to a system and method for automati-cally adapting a user interface for a computer operated device in response to the manner in which the device is physically operated and the condi-tions surrounding operation. The system provides sensors on or within a device in order to detect the physical position, identity, or orientation of an object used for interfacing with the device. The orientation of the de-vice and the environmental conditions around the device are also deter-mined. In turn, the system adapts the interactive control or input elements and/or the non-interactive elements of the UI in order to optimize usability of the device.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant d'adapter automatiquement une interface utilisateur pour un dispositif informatisé en réponse à la manière avec laquelle le dispositif est physiquement mis en marche et aux conditions environnantes. Le système dispose des capteurs sur ou à l'intérieur d'un dispositif afin de détecter la position physique, l'identité ou l'orientation d'un objet utilisé pour interfacer avec le dispositif. L'orientation du dispositif et les conditions environnementales autour du dispositif sont également déterminées. En retour, le système adapte les éléments de commande ou d'entrée interactifs et/ou les éléments non interactifs de l'IU afin d'optimiser la convivialité du dispositif.
