ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An analogue/digital interface circuit in which an analogue terminating impedance is partially synthesised by supplying a digital output signal to a digital input (R) via a digital filter. A variable resistive transmission path is connected across the analogue ports the resistance of which may be varied along with characteristics of the digital filter in order to simulate any required terminating impedance. The interface surface thus provides a plurality of terminating impedances while providing a satisfactory frequency response. The structure facilitates changing Zt while maintaining the required frequency response and remaining stable.
