AN INTERFACE CIRCUIT FOR A TRANSFORMER RELAY Abstract An interface circuit (30) to prevent damage to a transformer relay (10) by the simultaneous activation of a plurality of bidirectional switches (12). A current director (32) prevents current flow in the secondary winding of the transformer relay (10) in a second direction above a predetermined switching threshold for a predeter- mined succeeding time period (70) after current has flowed in the secondary winding of the transformer relay (10) in a first direction above a predetermined inhibit threshold during a predetermined preceding time period (68).
