The present invention relates to a specific set of genes useful for determining the efficacy of a treatment against multiple sclerosis (MS). Further, the invention provides an array of these genes useful for evaluating efficacy of a MS treatment. Also provided are methods for evaluating efficacy of an MS treatment and a method for detecting neutralizing antibodies in patient response to interferon.beta.-1B treatment of MS.
