There is described a rearview mirror (1) whose mirror blade (3) can be adjusted in vertical and in horizontal direction, manually as well as by means of electromotors (M1, M2). The direction of the support (4) for attachment to a vehicle can be set, during assembly, in a range of 90° or more. If so desired, the minor blade (3) can be rotated about an axis perpendicular to the minor surface. In a preferred embodiment, the rearview mirror comprises measuring members (201, 203 202, 204) generating an electric signal representative of the set position of the minor, as a result of which the minor can be provided with a memory possibility.
