The invention relates to an interleaf (5) which is designed to be inserted between two leaves of which at least one is solidly connected to, or forms part of, the cover of a booklet, such as a passport cover. The inventive interleaf (5) is intended to be folded in a pre-defined zone (21) along at least one fold line. The interleaf is characterised in that it comprises weakening means (20) in the aforementioned pre-defined zone (21), which increase the deformability of the leaf at the time of folding.
