The invention relates to the field of molecular pharmacology and, in particular, to a peptide belonging to the Interleukin-15 (IL-15) sequence, which can inhibit the biological activity of said molecule and analogues or mimetics of the peptide. The invention demonstrates that, when bound to the alpha subunit of the receptor (IL-15R), the peptide inhibits T-cell proliferation induced by IL-15 and apoptosis caused by TNF. The invention also relates to the use of the peptide in the treatment of pathologies in which the abnormal IL-15 or IL-15R expression is related to the course of the disease.
L'invention concerne le domaine de la pharmacologie moléculaire, et notamment un peptide appartenant à la séquence de l'interleukine-15 (IL-15) qui est capable d'inhiber l'activité biologique de cette molécule ; des analogues ou des mimétiques de ce peptide. L'invention démontre que le peptide, lorsqu'il s'unit à la sous-unité alpha du récepteur (IL-15R), inhibe la prolifération de lymphocytes T induite par IL-15 et l'apoptose médiée par TNF. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation du peptide dans le traitement de pathologies dans lesquelles l'expression anormale de IL-15 ou IL-15R est liée à l'évolution de la maladie.
