An interlock, latching and retaining mechanism (10) for use in an infusion system, embodying a latch arm (28) mounted to a rotatable shaft (26) having a plurality of cams (146, 148) and gears attached thereto, a rectangular faceplate with a plurality of apertures formed therethrough, and a clamp. Rotating the latch arm functions to engage fluid monitoring, flow control and pump structure of the infusion system with a pumping segment for control of fluid flow through the segment in a required position. In another aspect, rotation of the latch arm additionally causes an air-in-line sensor to rotate into position on the pumping segment.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de verrouillage, de blocage et de retenue destiné à un système de perfusion, utilisant un bras de verrouillage monté sur un arbre rotatif ayant une pluralité de cames et d'engrenages, une plaque rectangulaire avant avec une pluralité d'ouvertures traversantes et un dispositif de serrage. La rotation du bras de blocage a pour effet d'engager un segment de surveillance du fluide, de commande du débit et du pompage du système de perfusion avec un segment de pompage, pour assurer la commande du fluide passant dans ce segment et également faire en sorte que le dispositif de serrage maintienne le segment de pompage dans la position souhaitée. Selon un autre aspect, la rotation du bras de blocage provoque en plus la rotation en position de service, d'un détecteur d'air dans la ligne du segment de pompage.
