A harvesting header (40) has a flexible cutterbar assembly (48) the flexible cutterbar assembly (48) being operable to flex along its length in response to changes in terrain as the header (40) is advanced. A draper assembly (50) is supported behind the cutterbar assembly to flex therewith. The draper assembly includes an endless flexible draper belt (52) configured to receive severed crop materials from the cutterbar assembly and convey the materials laterally. The draper belt has a leading edge, and a plurality of shiftably interlocked belt guards (228) attached to and disposed along the cutterbar assembly to accommodate and move with the cutterbar assembly during flexing thereof. Each of the guards (228) extends from the cutterbar assembly to a location adjacent the leading edge of the draper belt. The belt guards (228) are arranged into multiple adjacent pairs, with each pair including interengaging ends (238,240,242) that cooperatively form an interlocking joint that permits relative swinging movement between the guards of the pair and restricts relative up-and-down movement between the ends.

Les protège-courroies (228) sont agencés en de multiples paires adjacentes dont chacune comporte des extrémités réciproquement en prise (238, 240, 242) formant, par coopération, un raccord interverrouillable qui permet un mouvement de balancement relatif entre les protège-courroies de la paire et limite un mouvement ascendant et descendant relatif entre les extrémités.
