ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A building block made with a top face adapted to be interlocked with the lower edge of a superposed, correspondingly made block. The lower edge has an internal pending lip and a downwardly tapering wedge above and adjacent said lip. The top face has a marginal groove for receiving the pending lip of the superposed block and the top face has a ledge partly extending over the groove for gripping the wedge of the superposed block.
