ABSTRACT Disclosed is a planter block having a series of alternate grooves, and projections around the peripheral, providing interconnecting capability for one block to another block. In one embodiment of the invention, a strengthening support partition is formed in the interior cavity of the block. Each block has a removable bottom insert, and the insert is supported within the interior cavity of the block by a taper design on the interior of the block, and a matching taper on the peripheral of the insert.
