ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE New compounds of the formula: Image IV wherein, Z is H, C1-C10 alkyl, halo, C1-C10 alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, hydroxy, C1-C10 alkanoyloxy, or C1-C10 alkanoylamino; Y is H, C1-C10 alkyl, halo, C1-C10 alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, hydroxy, C1-C10 alkanoyloxy, or C1-C10 alkanoylamino; X is F, Cl, Br or NR1R2 in which R1 and R2 are independently H, C1-C10 alkyl, C2-C10 alkenyl, C2-C10 alkynyl, C3-C10 cycloalkyl, C6-C10 aryl or C7-C10 aralkyl. These compounds are useful as intermediates in the preparation of corresponding compounds which have pharmaceuti- cal use in the treatment of renal cardiovascular disorders.
