-20- ABSTRACT INTERMODAL TRANSPORT A bogie (25) for use in an intermodal transport system has wheels (18), which may be adapted for road or rail travel. The bogie is provided at each of its ends with a coupling means (20) by means of which each end region of the bogie can be connected to a respective transport container (or wheeled rail wagon) to interconnect the containers with adjacent ends of the containers supported on the bogie. The coupling means permits rotation of the con- tainers relative to the bogie about respective upwardly extending axes. Thus, road or rail trains may be formed for the transport of freight.
