Abstract of the Disclosure An internal combustion engine having a plurality of in-line combustion chambers, equipped with an ex- haust gas recirculation system. In each combustion chamber, two spark plugs are disposed at the opposite sides with respect to the axis passing through the center axes of the plurality of in-line combustion chambers. The cylinder head of the engine is formed with a siamesed port arrangement to supply high temperature exhaust gases into a reactor diposed down- stream of the combustion chambers. - 1 -
