"INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE SPARK PLUG HAVING COMPOSITE ELECTRODE STRUCTURE" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The electrode has a tip formed of an outer jacket of corrosion-resistant material, such as essentially nickel, which surrounds a composite core formed of up to half, by volume, copper as a matrix in which filaments or strands essentially containing nickel are embedded, to provide an electrode made of readily available, inexpensive material and permitting a long insulator tip.
