ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A carburetion system comprising a first carburetor assembly including a first carburetor body, a first throttle shaft portion and a first throttle body housing the first throttle shaft portion and attached to the carburetor body. The carburetion system also includes a second carburetor assembly including a second carburetor body separate from the first carburetor body, a second throttle shaft portion coaxial with the first throttle shaft portion and connected to the first throttle shaft portion for common rotational movement therewith, and a second throttle body housing the second throttle shaft portion and attached to the second carburetor body. An internal combustion engine including a crankcase, a crankshaft in the crankcase, an intake manifold attached to the crankcase and a plurality of carburetor assemblies attached to the intake manifold and including throttle shaft portions generally aligned with the crankshaft. An internal combustion engine including an engine block comprising a plurality of combustion chambers, a crankcase attached to the engine block and including air openings therein for each of the combustion chambers, a carburetion system including air openings for each of the combustion chambers and an intake manifold attached to the crankcase and the carburetion system and including a generally parallel air passageways between the openings in the carburetion system and the openings in the crankcase.
