Disclosed is a wrench (100) that grips the internal surface (400) of a pipe (300) to be turned. When torque is applied to the wrench, one or more gripping surfaces are forced apart by a cam mechanism. The gripping surfaces (304 and 306) tightly engage the internal surface of the pipe in response to movement of an internal cam. Torque applied to the wrench causes the pipe to turn. Because the wrench grips the internal diameter of a pipe, it can be used without damaging the external surface of the pipe, and used in very confined spaces. The gripping surfaces distribute the gripping load evenly across the pipe, which minimizes any deformation of the pipe.
L'invention se rapporte à une clé qui saisie la surface interne (400) d'un conduit (300) à tourner. Lorsqu'une force est appliquée sur la clé, une ou plusieurs surfaces de saisie sont écartées au moyen d'un mécanisme de came. Ces surfaces de saisie viennent fermement en prise avec la surface interne du conduit en réponse au mouvement d'un came interne. La force appliquée sur la clé entraîne la rotation du conduit.
