This is a specially designed Sleeve for structural repairs to large diameter pipes from inside the pipe. Normally, most of the buried pipes are being structurally repaired from outside the pipes. This Sleeve can be used to make repairs to round and off round pipes. It is most suitable to use for repairs to concrete , steel or cement mortar lined steel, fibreglass, PVC pipes or any large diameter pipes from 750 mm diameter and up. The Sleeve consists of two half circular sections, the two ends of each section are equipped with special stiffened brackets. The two sections of the sleeve are to be set up by the sides of the pipe opposing each other. By tightening the bolts at both end brackets, the two sections of the sleeve will stretch tight against the wall of the pipe and thus becoming one complete circular sleeve. Normally, a rubber gasket will be installed with the repair sleeve for a better seal against any leakage. The repair sleeve can be made of stainless steel, carbon steel with protective coating or fibreglass. For special application in strengthening the existing buried pipes, the sleeve can be reinforced with diagonal structural members.
