ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pocket portion formed extending within or from the tongue of gusset of a shoe or other footwear, and wherein personal items may be contained, the pocket portion being formed of a pair of upper and lower liners, forming the tongue or gusset, being stiched together along particular margins so as to provide a formed pocket therein, with the opening to the pocket being located either upon the underside of the gusset, being concealed thereat, or along the side or bottom of the gusset, or perhaps being located along the upper margin of the tongue, either externally or interiorly thereof, in order to provide quick access into the formed pocket during athletic shoe usage.
