ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A new safety device for pressure hoses, preventing hose whipping on breaking under pressure, such whipping is a cause of injury, crippling and death in the work place. A stainless steel wire cable or other stress core is run through the hose and anchored at each end. Reducers are affixed at each end of the hose, the stress core end is anchored by cable clamps, brazing to the reducer, embedding in metal balls or resin blocks, outside the reducers which the anchor cannot pass through. When the hose breaks under pressure the stress core is intact, and the hose does not whip. The hose ends at the break cannot move more than a diameter apart, because they are held in relative position by the stress core.
