INTERNAL PRINT DRUM DRIVE Abstract of the Disclosure A rotating drum-type printer has an electric motor which is internal to the print drum. Using the components of a brushless, direct current (d.c.) motor, the stator windings are attached to a stationary shaft, while the permanent magnet rotor is attached to the inside wall of the print drum.
