An internet charging system for traffic data passing through a second provider area when data from a source, i.e. a first provider area, is passed through the second provider area different from the first provider area and transmitted to the destination of a third provider area different from the second provider characterized by comprising a step of storing source identification information affixed to the traffic data, a step of totalizing information concerning the traffic data for each piece of source identification information, and a step for determining the amount of money charged for each piece of source identification information depending on the amount of passing information concerning the traffic data totalized for each piece of source identification information.
Cette invention concerne un système de facturation Internet pour des données de trafic qui transitent par la zone d'un deuxième fournisseur lorsque des données provenant d'une source telle que la zone couverte par un premier fournisseur transitent par la zone d'un deuxième fournisseur, laquelle est différente de la zone du premier fournisseur, et sont transmises à la zone d'un troisième fournisseur qui est elle-même différente de celle du deuxième fournisseur. Cette démarche se caractérise en ce qu'elle comprend une opération de stockage d'informations sur l'identification de la source, une opération de totalisation des informations concernant les données de trafic pour chaque élément d'information d'identification de la source, et une opération de détermination de la somme facturée pour chaque élément d'information d'identification de la source en fonction du volume d'information qui transite pour les données de trafic totalisées dans le cas de chaque élément d'information d'identification de la source.
