A flexible prosthetic cover (12) shaped to form a replacement nucleus pulposis for an intervetebral disc comprises an aperture for the introduction of filling material therein, and an elongate introducer member (28) configured to pass into the aperture. The cover has a strengthened portion (26) substantially opposite the aperture for engaging the distal end (42) of the member, the strenghtened portion and the said distal end being arranged to interlock, for facilitating orientation of the cover, for example so as to prevent relative rotation there between.

Cette enveloppe prothétique souple (12), conçue de façon à constituer un noyau pulpeux de remplacement pour disque intervertébral, est pourvue d'un orifice servant à l'introduction d'un matériau de remplissage ainsi que d'un élément introducteur de forme allongée (28) configuré pour passer par cet orifice. Cette enveloppe comprend une partie renforcée (26) sensiblement à l'opposé de l'orifice et destinée à venir au contact de l'extrémité distale (42) de l'élément susmentionné. La partie renforcée et l'extrémité distale de l'élément sont conçues de manière à se verrouiller et ce, afin de faciliter l'orientation de l'enveloppe, par exemple, pour éviter toute rotation relative entre elles.
