The invention relates to an intervertebral implant (1) with two juxtaposed walls (2) in the form of a "U", which are connected to each other along the edges thereof by an intermediate wall (3), with a small degree of elastic flexibility, said intermediate wall (3), being deformable such as to permit a movement of said juxtaposed walls (2) with relation to each other. According to the invention, the implant (1) is of such a size that the lateral branches (2a) of said juxtaposed walls (2) can be engaged to both sides of the spinal cord (100) by the posterior route and can be inserted between vertebral plateaus of the two vertebra (101) being treated, in the lateral zones of said plateaus.

Cet implant intervertébral (1) présente deux parois juxtaposées (2) ayant une forme en "U" et reliées l'une à l'autre, au niveau d'un de leurs bords, par une paroi intermédiaire (3) présentant un léger degré de souplesse élastique, cette paroi intermédiaire (3) étant déformable de manière à permettre une mobilité desdites parois juxtaposées (2) l'une par rapport à l'autre. Selon l'invention, l'implant (1) est dimensionné de telle sorte que les branches latérales (2a) desdites parois juxtaposées (2) peuvent être engagées, par voie postérieure, de part et d'autre de la moelle épinière (100) et peuvent venir s'insérer entre les plateaux vertébraux des deux vertèbres (101) traitées, dans les zones latérales de ces plateaux.
