The intervertebral implant is shaped in the-form of a hollow cylinder and has a cover face (1), a base face (2), a hollow cylinder wall (3) with an outer lateral area (4) and an inner lateral area (5), as well as a hollow cylinder central axis (6). The implant consists at at least 95 percent by volume of a radiolucent material which has a modulus of elasticity of between 1 and 20 GPa. It permits a postsurgical observation by means of X-rays and at the same time is characterised by a high degree of biocompatibility.

L'invention concerne un implant intervertébral sous forme demi-cylindrique, présentant une surface de couverture (1), une surface de base (2), une paroi de demi-cylindre (3) comportant une surface enveloppe extérieure (4) et une surface enveloppe intérieure (5), ainsi qu'un axe central (6) de cylindre creux. Cet implant est composé à au moins 95 % en volume d'un matériau perméable aux rayons X, présentant un module d'élasticité entre 1 et 20 GPa. Cet implant permet une observation post-opératoire par l'intermédiaire de rayons X, et présente également une biocompatibilité élevée.
