Provided is an intra prediction encoding control method used in intra prediction encoding having a plurality of prediction modes and prediction block sizes and switching them upon encoding. The method includes: a step of calculating a flatness indicating the flatness of an encoding object region; a step of deciding the prediction block size used in the intra prediction encoding of the encoding object region in accordance with the calculated flatness; and a step of selecting a prediction mode used for the intra prediction encoding of the encoding object region with the decided prediction block size.
Procédé de commande d'encodage intra-prévision utilisé dans l'encodage intra-prévision ayant une pluralité de modes de prévision et de tailles de bloc de prévision et qui exécute une commutation entre eux lors de l'encodage. Le procédé comprend : une étape consistant à calculer un aspect plat indiquant l'aspect plat d'une région d'objet d'encodage ; une étape consistant à décider de la taille du bloc de prévision utilisé dans l'encodage intra-prévision de la région d'objet d'encodage selon l'aspect plat calculé ; et une étape consistant à sélectionner un mode de prévision utilisé pour l'encodage intra-prévision de la région d'objet d'encodage avec la taille de bloc de prévision décidée.
