An invasive imaging apparatus comprising: a flexible catheter with a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end being shaped for insertion into a blood vessel along a guide wire thereby to reach remote places in the vasculature or other organs, an optical assembly positioned at the distal end of the catheter comprising an image sensor positioned non-perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the catheter, at least one illumination source for illuminating an immediate region beyond the distal end of the catheter, and at least one working channel running from the proximal to the distal end of the catheter.
L'invention concerne un appareil d'imagerie invasif comprenant : un cathéter souple muni d'une extrémité proximale et d'une extrémité distale, l'extrémité distale étant conçue pour être insérée dans un vaisseau sanguin, le long d'un fil-guide, pour atteindre des sites éloignés dans le système vasculaire ou d'autres organes ; un ensemble optique situé à l'extrémité distale du cathéter, équipé d'un capteur d'image disposé de façon non perpendiculaire par rapport à l'axe longitudinal du cathéter ; au moins une source d'éclairage permettant d'éclairer une région adjacente à l'extrémité distale du cathéter ; et au moins un canal de commande reliant les deux extrémités du cathéter.
