Abstract of the Disclosure A 15 kd protein antigen is associated with cytoplasmic granules in cytolytic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells. Monoclonal antibodies immunologically reactive with the 15 kd protein and nucleic acid probes encoding polypeptides that are immunologically cross-reactive with the 15 kd protein can be used, e.g., to identify cytolytic lymphocytes in a sample. Cloned cDNA encoding the antigen can be used to produce the antigen.
