It is described a new interleukin-1 antagonist active both against IL-1a and IL-1B, a new DNA sequence encoding the IL-1 antagonist and the method for obtaining a IL-1 antagonist by the recombinant DNA technique; it is also described the prophylactic, therapeutic and diagnostic use of such new IL-1 antagonist in pathologies deriving from the IL- 1 production.

On décrit un nouvel antagoniste de l'interleukine-1, actif à la fois contre IL-1a et IL-1B, une nouvelle séquence d'ADN codant l'antagoniste d'IL-1 ainsi qu'un procédé de production d'un antagoniste d'IL-1 à l'aide d'une technique d'ADN recombiné. On décrit également l'utilisation prophylactique, thérapeutique et diagnostique de ce nouvel antagoniste d'IL-1 dans des pathologies consécutives à la production d'IL-1.
